Penguins win top animation Daytime Emmy

Nickelodeon’s Penguins of Madagascar won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program according to Animation Magazine. This award is in addition to the two it won last week in the first portion of the awards ceremonies.

Madagascar 3 opens today

PDI/DreamWorks’ Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted opens today in 4,258 theatres, the 11th widest opening of all time according to Box Office Mojo. The film is earning a 77% Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Box Office Mojo is predicting a close weekend race with Madagascar finishing 2nd with $53.8 million.
