The Simpsons: The Complete Thirteenth Season DVD and Blu-ray in August

DVDActive reports that Fox Home Entertainment has announced DVD and Blu-ray releases of The Simpsons: The Complete Thirteenth Season for August 24th. Extras on this release will include commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, Animation Showcases for eps, sketch galleries, and commercials.

Despicable Me sequel in the works

With a bigger than expected box-office performance over the weekend, talks are already underway for Illumination’s Despicable Me, reports Collider. Two short films featuring the yellow minions are also in the works but their method of distribution has yet to be determined.

After marketing the film for almost an entire year, Universal Pictures saw big bucks for their Despicable Me on opening day, according to Friday estimates. The $21 million it made yesterday should be enough to give the animated comedy an opening weekend of as much as $60 million.
