Nicktoons to relaunch Voltron

Variety reports that Nicktoons will air 26 half-hour episodes of Voltron Force starting next year. With the relaunch of the massive robot from 1980s, rights holders World Event Prods and Classic Media would attempt to reintroduce Voltron: Defender of the Universe to a new generation.

Collider has posted the first official plot information for the DreamWorks franchise entries Puss in Boots and Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. Puss in Boots is set for a 3D release on November 4, 2011 while Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom hits theaters in 3D on May 27, 2011.

Lucasfilm ramping up “secret CGI feature” project

In an interview with Lucasfilm Singapore’s recruiter Heather Brown, Animation Express reveals that Lucasfilm Animation is working on a “top-secret” CGI feature. Brown also speaks about the other recent achievements for the facility, which contributed almost 200 ILM effects shots to Iron Man 2.

The Secret of Kells coming to DVD/BD in October

New Video has announced that they have acquired U.S. television, digital, VOD and home video distribution rights to the Oscar nominated animated film The Secret of Kells and will be bringing it to most of those platforms (including DVD and Blu-ray) on October 5th, 2010.
