New Up trailer debuts

A brand new full trailer for Disney-Pixar’s forthcoming feature Up has been premiered online and can be watched here. Additionally, Yahoo! Movies has made available the trailer in HD formats. Directed by Pete Docter, Up opens in theaters on May 29th.

Ghibli to open training studio in Japan

Variety reports that Studio Ghibli, the Japanese studio behind Hayao Miyazaki hits Spirited Away and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, is collaborating with automaker Toyota to open a new training studio. The studio will be situated in Toyota’s R&D center in Aichi Prefecture in western Japan.

New Monsters Vs Aliens clip

A short clip from DreamWork’s animated comedy Monsters Vs Aliens can now be seen at ComingSoon. The video features the character Ginormica being introduced to a secret government facility. Monsters Vs Aliens hits traditional and 3-D compatible theaters as well as IMAX screens on March 27th.
