Study finds animation most profitable genre in recent years

According to the IMDB Studio Briefing, the study “Economics of Motion Pictures 2006,” from Monterey, CA-based Kagan Research, has found animated movies to be the most profitable film genre between 2000 and 2004. On average, the movies each earned a gross profit of $194.5 million.
