Think it was that for years, dopey audiences mistaking the three TV-pilot episodes for a "movie" was what made Cindy II the scapegoat for video-sequel complaints, even inside their own company-- We would keep hearing parents complain "Gee, the quality of their movies has declined!", and those of us ...

Now I'm not 100% sure at all about this, but according to my memory didn't Disney actually have high hopes for Robinsons at one point, when it was "A Day with Wilbur Robinson"? Wasn't there some kind of expected Christmas or Thanksgiving opening slated for MTR ? Oh wait, now it's all coming back......

Maybe not, but then why did Ratatouille get so much promotion vs. Meet the Robinsons if they "didn't need any help"? From their standpoint, (Disney) supporting MTR right before Rat comes out would have interfered with Rat's BO chances. Insert "Oscar" into that equation, and it's the same idea. :( D...

I totally agree on Bats Begins...uninspired rehash with nothing new to say. I do have much better hopes for The Dark Knight, from what I've heard from friends on the set. But my personal jury is still out on whether Bale is actually right in the role. Thought "Begins" looked good, I was willing to ...

Eric...play nice, respect others, and collect your info accordingly before you go accusing. Can you calm down, respect other, longer involved members on this forum, and get your facts straight? Or else you will be banned. I don't like your tone, sir, and am requesting friendlier discussion. (Sorry-...

Little Mermaid III is still due, and just what is the Mulan cliffhanger?? The second ended with a wedding and fair resolve... :? The original announcement was for a II+III to be produced together, a la Pirates, and presumably connected storyline-- M2's ending may have been rewritten for a happy wed...

Eddie's right about the name G-Force, but it is unclear just what this is. An update of that version of the show? A CGI cash-in on TransFormers vibe? A totally unrelated outing, in which case the title is a little weird? Time will tell...but I get the feeling this is a pickup and not in-hous...

[ The man is not well. Crying or Very sad Why, just because he has a different opinion from his readers? I agree with some of what he says. Does that mean I'm not well, too?  :P J/K Well, I don't know, do you have Monomania or Narcissistic Personality Disorder too? :D (Have you had a d...

Should've read a couple of more posts above that once, Eric. ;) Not to mention, there's a preview of the next volume on Vol.1. Don't worry though, because word, at least according to Jim Hill, was that they were cancelled. Guess he was wrong. :) Or, that it was The One That Got Away. (Ie., the Bell...

Yeah - because we all know Lasseter really wants Disney's films to bomb at the B.O. Why is it he gets blamed for EVERYTHING that people don't like over at Disney? Shouldn't Iger get the blame for this lame marketing campaign? "They" don't blame him, JimHillMedia.com does. (And then Animated News qu...

How To Hook Up Your Home Theater - They nailed it. Unlike other recent tries at reviving Disney classic characters via new shorts (think The Prince and the Pauper or Runaway Brain) Actually, was thinking more along the lines of those poseur TV-animation "House of Mouse" shorts they tried releasing ...

Well, hopefully the next volume is better and improves what this volume lacked. Official word is, there ain't no more: After John Lasseter shut down the video sequels (which were only being used to promote back-catalog "Dumbo"/"Aristocats" titles that needed 2-disk repromotion), the Toon Studio was...

Somehow, danfrandes, I don't think telling you would satisfy you...but... Yes, I think there was a Rocky in an early draft, though there's little chance of getting a "script" with him in. Guess we'll have to wait for the DVD, right? Actually, one of the "Theories" for Rocky's disappearance was from...
