Henson takes on Varjak Paw

Through AWN, Variety reports that The Jim Henson Co. has obtained the rights to S.F. Said’s Varjak Paw and its sequel The Outlaw Varjak Paw. Varjak illustrator Dave McKean, who directed Henson’s MirrorMask, will direct the animated project, with Said adapting the screenplay.

Thundercats to roar in live-action franchise?

According to Movehole, The Thundercats is rumored as being eyed by Warner Bros., for a potential live-action franchise. The project(s) would apparently be handled similarly to the X-Men films.
