Minions top box office again
Despicable Me 2 continued its rule of the box office this weekend besting two other films opening, Grown Ups 2 and Pacific Rim. The minions took in $44.8 million, the grown ups $38.3 million, and the alien-fighting robots $42.5 million. DM2‘s cumulative domestic gross so far is $229 million in 12 days. |

PG rating confirmed for Planes
A while back, Disney’s Planes was said to have received a PG rating from the MPAA, but there was nothing to confirm the reports. Now Box Office Mojo has done just that, saying that the film has been rated PG for “some mild action and rude humor.” Planes opens everywhere August 9th. |
