Exodus Film Group developing Igor

Variety (paid subscription required) reports that veteran animation exec Max Howard will serve executive producing duties for Exodus Film Group’s computer-animated feature Igor. Exodus’ film fund will pay for the $20 million-$25 million film, with the company retaining worldwide rights to the picture. Igor is expected to reach theaters in 2007.

TV Shows on DVD reveals that Kim Possible – The Villain Files, a single-disc DVD similar to Kim Possible – The Secret Files, will be released on December 7th, the same release day for the Gargoyles Season 1 DVD set.

Clerks animated film still in the works

At his View Askew website, Kevin Smith reveals that in addition to the live-action Clerks sequel, an animated Clerks movie is still happening. The director goes on to say that the storyline for the animated film revolves around the characters Dante and Randal shooting a movie about working at the Quick Stop.

Shrek 2 to be awarded "Hollywood Animation Award" at this year's Hollywood Film Festival

The Dreamworks SKG Fansite reports that at this year’s festival, the Hollywood Film Festival’s Board of Advisors will honor Shrek 2 with its “Hollywood Animation Award.” The Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday, October 18, 2004.
