Random! Cartoons to air on Nickelodeon

Random! Cartoons, a collection of 39 different cartoons all created in various mediums, is set to air on Nickelodeon on December 6th after several delays, reports Animation World Network. Created by Fred Seibert, the series will be shown on Saturdays and Sundays, with three cartoons being aired in an episode.

Madagascar 2 IMAX run extended

Latino Review reports that the IMAX run of the upcoming Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa has been extended. The film will now run into December, including the Thanksgiving holiday season, which tends to be a popular time of year for going to the movies. Madagascar 2 will hit theaters on November 7th.

Clone Wars series trailer

Keaton joins Toy Story 3 cast

According to Upcoming Pixar, actor Micheal Keaton has been cast as Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken, in the latest installment to the Toy Story series. This will be Keaton’s second role in a Pixar film, as he also voiced the character Chick Hicks in 2006’s Cars. Toy Story 3 will open in theaters on June 18th, 2010.

Two scans of new screen caps from the upcoming CGI features Up and A Christmas Carol can be seen at Bad Taste. Up is currently being helmed by Pete Docter and Bob Peterson and will open on May 26th, while Robert Zemeckis’ motion-capture A Christmas Carol will hit theaters on November 6th, 2009.

A new one-sheet for The Tale Of Despereaux has appeared on Internet Movie Poster Awards. The poster features a book illustration look to it, perhaps because it is an adaption of Kate DiCammillo’s children’s novel of the same name. The Tale Of Despereaux opens in theaters this Christmas.

New in-production CGI shots from Imagi’s upcoming film Gatchaman can be viewed at Felix IP. Also included in the batch of images is a possible logo for the movie. Gatchaman is set to hit theaters sometime in April of 2009.

New Up character images, concept art

Several images of characters and sets from Up can be viewed at The Pixar Blog. A new piece of concept art can also be seen on the site, which depicts the film’s protagonists dragging a floating house through a dense jungle. Up hits theaters on May 29, 2009. Thanks to “CGIFanatic” for the heads up.

Bolt, Up scene discriptions

Descriptions of several scenes from upcoming Disney films played during the San Diego Comic Con can be read at Coming Soon. Reportedly, material from both Bolt and Up were screened for attendants of the Con, and were generally well-received by viewers.

New Astro Boy poster
