The Big Cartoon Database reports that the computer animation company CritterPix Studios has announced the closing of a private $2.1 million secured convertible bridge note financing, placed by Laidlaw and Company (UK) Ltd. This makes the total seed financing for the studio approximately $4.45 million. Proceeds will go toward script development and the installation of software animation tools and hardware platforms for CritterPix’s films in development. Currently, CritterPix has teamed with New Regency Productions, Inc., for the CGI flick Ollie the Otter’s worldwide distribution.
