Possibly because of the rising number of big budget films with impressive special effects released each year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just announced that they will now be nominating five films in the Best Visual Effects category at the Oscars next year. Previously, only three movies were allowed to be nominated in the category.
