With a smile and a song, Jeremie Noyer is back as promised to keep our Snow White Week humming a merry tune! Today, he’s turning back the clock to explore Walt Disney’s production of Snow White, from 1934 to 1937, particularly picking out the impressive nature of the film’s groundbreaking music with his usual insight. Aside from the serious analysis of the score itself, a choice section for me is the alternate lyrics to Heigh-Ho, a seemingly earlier version that isn’t as amusing as the final film’s result, but just as charming!
My full review of the new BD is being picked out of the mine as we speak but in short, if you haven’t ordered a copy yet, this should be an essential buy, and doing so through our Amazon.com link not only helps support this site but currently saves you 50% off the regular purchase price!
