The popular superspy penguins from DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar films have already inspired their own hit TV series, but the Hollywood Reporter reports that the studio has even bigger plans for them in the future: A spin-off movie. MegaMind writers Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons are already attached to the project, although the film has yet to find a director at this point. One can assume that the chances of the movie actually getting made will depend largely on the returns of this November’s Puss in Boots film, the studio’s spin-off of the Shrek series starring one of its most famous characters.
