An article on Animation Magazine’s website has revealed that Coraline will not be among the list of animated films eligible for the Academy Awards this year. The Henry Selick film, which is based upon a Neil Gaiman novel, was originally scheduled for a limited theatrical run before it’s wide release on February 6th, 2009. Coraline tells the story of a young girl who discovers a parallel reality in her parent’s home.
