We have a nice surprise coming up for you at the end of the week, but in the meantime you can read two of our latest DVD reviews. I took a look at the recent release of Filmation’s Sabrina The Teenage Witch show from the early 1970s. The Archie spin-off contains much of the charm of the other Archie shows, with an additional dose of magic to spice things up. Fans of the all-American teen will be happy to see many appearances by the Archie gang in this program, not to mention a few stories with the Groovie Goolies. Then, for the heck of it, I posted an older review that I had kicking around on my hard drive. Sabrina, The Animated Series: Witch In Training is a DVD that contains four episodes from the DiC series, which was spun off of the Melissa Joan Hart TV sitcom. While the DiC cartoon is really better produced, I can’t help but enjoy the simple charm of the Filmation show. Yes, I’m a nostlagic fool!
Coming up, future reviews will include cohabitating cartoon characters, a third helping of Muppets, and yet another Scooby set— but this time he’s joined by some rich kid. Now that’s some good variety!! The life of a DVD reviewer can be so exciting.
More on Friday, so stay tooned! – Rand.
