With SCI FI Wire, Jeff Bridges talks about his role as Big Z in Surf’s Up, comparing the part to that of The Dude from The Big Lebowski. Speaking of Bridges, directors Ash Brannon and Chris Buck admit when it came to Big Z, Bridges was the only person in mind. “We only thought of him doing the role,” confirms Brannon. “He is like this in all his movies, and as we were developing the character, we knew he was the right guy, the only guy, for the part.” In other Surf’s Up news, IESB.net now offers a new poster and more images for the flick, including pics of its cast promoting the film.
