Mlive.com reports that the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International will kick off this year’s festival with a preview of the new Shrek sequel at 7:30 p.m. May 17, the night before the film’s official opening day. “This is very unusual, for a film festival like Cannes to do something like this, it’s par for the course. But for an animation festival to get a preview of a major release like this is very rare.” said KAFI Operations Director Van Muse about the screening.
