Actually it’s 102, but that didn’t sound so good! You can thank Randall for the big push into triple digits for our DVD database, as he’s recently added several reviews including, in respect of the recent passing of Hanna-Barbera designer Iwao Takamoto, a look at the package put together for Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?: The Complete First and Second Seasons.

While he was at it, Rand also added more Hanna-Barbera magic: the Wacky Races “trilogy”, consisting of the original Wacky Races series (also designed by Takamoto) and its spin offs Dastardly And Muttley In Their Flying Machines and, perhaps my own favorite, The Perils Of Penelope Pitstop – quite a few new pieces to catch up on! And don’t forget to check out his previous reviews on Top Cat and the Jonny Quest set, another personal favorite of mine. Rand will also be back soon with the second part of his Hanna-Barbera Appreciation, which looks at the company as a whole. The man sure knows his HB, and watching all this stuff is like being a kid again, for folks of a certain age!

In an attempt to pull my own weight, I’ve put up a few pieces myself, so you’ll also find reviews for a trio of big hitters new to the site: Lady And The Tramp: 50th Anniversary and its direct-to-video sequel Scamp’s Adventure, as well as Pixar’s fishy-fun smash Finding Nemo and The Lion King and its spin-offs Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and the hysterical “also-quel”, Lion King 1½.

Before I sign off for today, I also wanted to remind you to do your part in helping to save the Walt Disney Treasures, the long-running DVD series that looks to have had its last wave already issued. Put in a word to Disney and see if we can’t push for the final two volumes of The Chronological Donald to see the light of day at the very least!

Finally, Rand’s back again with his take on Pinocchio In Outer Space (see, that title has you hooked already!), a crazy-sounding feature that I really must track down one of these days, especially since this nice little disc is going for peanuts through our Amazon links, a song at only $9.99 in fact. Actually, I’m going to go and order right now! See ya!
