USA Today reports that producer Jerry Bruckheimer says that the third film in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, At World’s End, is “progressing nicely” eight months away from its scheduled release date. “We shot a lot of Chow Yun-Fat’s stuff already, and we should finish the principal actors by the beginning of November, so we are quite a ways into it”. At World’s End is slated for a Memorial Day 2007 opening, while the current installment, Dead Man’s Chest, will be released on DVD on December 5, 2006.
