Speaking with the Sydney Morning Herald, Robots director Chris Wedge, currently co-producing Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, states that Robots 2 is being considered. Likewise, he is now working on two more films, describing one as “a smaller feeling movie but fun in its own right” and the other as an “action feel” film. Another movie Wedge is thinking about is one set in Australia. “We have been thinking about it, seriously,” the director notes, adding, “Cane toads is what we were looking at.” For the future, Wedge even hints, “We might do a musical, a low-budget independent film.”
