As we reported recently, Disney is going ahead with plans to re-issue their original collaboration with Pixar, and the first CGI animated film, Toy Story on DVD in a lavish two-disc edition for the 10th Anniversary later this year. Those with the snazzy Ultimate Toy Box collection may pass, but the new disc does apparently feature “better picture and sound” (is that possible?) as well as a couple of new extra documentaries that otherwise sit with much of the material that was available on the LaserDisc boxed set and previous DVD. Disney’s put out the press release, which reveals that animatic deleted scenes have been finished off for this release, and that we reproduce here:
