The Hollywood Reporter reports that Genndy Tartakovsky, responsible for such series as Samuri Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars, has been enlisted as a feature animation director for the newly formed Orphanage Animation Studios. With his new job, Tartakovsky will develop five feature projects, each of them having a budget of around $50 million – $75 million. The first animated film from that deal could break into theaters by late 2007 or early 2008, should Tartakovsky and Orphanage find a studio partner to release the film in time.
