SciFi Wire reports that Peter Chung, the creator of the MTV animated series Aeon Flux, has said that he’d rather see an animated version of his character than the live action version opening this Friday. “I honestly [was] very against it, because I wanted to do an animated movie, and I thought that was the best way to do it. It took me a long while to get adjusted to it, and then eventually I said, ‘OK, if it’s going to get done, it will get done this way'”. Chung adds that he will coniinue to push for an animated Aeon Flux. “I have been working on writing a story for it. I think the studio has expressed an interest in doing that. They’re interested in how the [live-action] movie does first and how well the DVDs sell… It will happen one way or another. I will pursue that”. Aeon Flux: Complete Animated Series was released on DVD last week.
