The Hollywood Reporter reports that the upcoming Aladdin: Special Edition DVD, the fourth entry in the “Platinum Edition” series, will include the song “Proud of Your Boy,” which was cut from the original film. Also, the DVD’s bonus features will include the original pencil test drawings of a scene including Aladdin’s mother. Thanks to Toon Zone for the heads up! Davis DVD has more details on the Platinum Edition’s bonus features, which will include two audio commentaries, a pop-up trivia subtitle track, design and still galleries, deleted sequences, pencil tests, storyboards, a virtual carpet ride, a 3D tour of Genie’s lamp, sing-along songs, set-top games, musical postcards, trailers, and a “Whole New World” music video by the Disney Channel Circle of Stars. According to the website, “more than 20% of the original artwork has been enhanced for the new digital transfer, with some characters redrawn to add more facial detail and backgrounds and starfields touched up for color and detail.”
