The Triplettes Of Belleville director Sylvain Chomet’s next film, according to Done Deal’s Script Sales, has been picked up by Dimension Films for US distribution. Chomet was belived to be assembling a team and creating a new studio in Scotland to tell the story which, if this is the same film he has previously mentioned, will take place during the repression of Paris in 1871. Its main character will be a monkey from the Jardin des Plantes, and the film currently has the title of Barbacoa. Dimension is a subsidery of Miramax, the independent company owned by Disney.
