The Home Theater Forum brigade, a seriously dedicated band of “cinema at home” enthusiasts, had their annual chat with home video and DVD execs from Warner Brothers last night. For details on titles of particular interest to animation fans, check out here:

Batman: The Animated Series is “coming out this year. Regarding the Batman [Burton] films, [WHV] is planning something to synchronize with the new feature in 2005″.

Popeye Cartoons: WHV are “in discussion with King Features Syndicate on the subject”.

Looney Tunes: Get ready for Golden DVD Collection Volume 2 later this year.

Superman: The Animated Series and Teen Titans: “There will be season boxed sets of both”.

Superfriends: “Lots more releases in the works”.

Beetlejuice: WVH is considering a Special Edition DVD release for the original film. “No plans for the animated TV series”.

Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain: “Both are under consideration”.

Wonder Woman TV series: “Will be twirling her way to you before year’s end”.

Tom and Jerry: “Coming in a deluxe release before year’s end, with special features” similar to the Looney Tunes Golden collection. Jerry Beck is working with WHV on these releases.
