DVD File lists some new amendments to the previously announced Disney animated video features The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and Mickey, Donald And Goofy: The Three Musketeers. The 2-disc new edition of the Lion King sequel, due on August 31, comes in a THX-certified 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and will include “the One By One animated short, the Proud Of Simba’s Pride and Lots About Lions featurettes, Find Out Why, Rafiki’s Challenge and Pride Land interactive games, a Disney Song Selection, music videos and previews”. The original Lion King‘s DVD release last year pointed to Timon And Pumbaa’s Virtual Safari Version 2.0,which isn’t listed here, so it could be that there are even more bonuses to come – it does sound slim for a supposed 2-disc set!

Mickey’s Three Musketeers, which is erroneously labelled by the File as an “animated classic [and] newly remastered”, will get a 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer with DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, set for a August 17 release. “Extras include an audio commentary with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pete, The Many Hats Of Mickey Mouse and The Making Of The Three Musketeers featurettes, deleted scenes, a Disney Song Selection, and the Build Your Own Opera interactive game”. Retail for both releases will be a suggested $29.95.
