Did you not notice our Polar Express themed logo? Underneath it it says "The Polar Express opens November 10th".

Now go see it!

As for the Imax question: The screen at this theatre was not the usual Imax square like shape - it was the normal Flat (rectangular) shape we see in regular movie screens (in a larger scale of course). I didn't notice if the curtain was obscuring part of the screen or not but it did not appear to be...

After months of complaining about the animation I finally saw the film today. And I apologize for most everything bad I've said about The Polar Express! It was very good! Let me add that I had low expectations for this film before going and I saw it in Imax 3D (BTW the film was obviously made with 3...

Your thoughts about The Polar Express?

I'm about to head and in a little bit to see it. A theatre just opened the first Imax screen in town (that shows Hollywood movies), so I'll be seeing it on the big big screen! How do they handle the difference in aspect ratio? Do they just cut off the sides? or stretch it vertically? Or is it shown ...

Maybe if people would stop responding to controversial stuff and only respond to movies and animation posts...

I'm just gonna stick with being disappointed and having the feeling that it's going to be the usual Pixar buddy fest... ...Then there's this "well, let's see how it turns out" lark. Have you guys not learned anything about teasers actually being more indicative of what a final project will turn out...

Re: Your thoughts about The Incredibles?

I'd go as far as to say this was not an animated film, but an action film that just happened to be in the animated genre. I get your sentiment, but animation is not a genre. :) Now, if you'd said "an action film that just happened to be animated", or "an animated film that just happened to be in th...

Macaluso - I hope you don't mind, but I added a spoiler warning to your post just for those who don't want to know any details about the plot of the film.

Your thoughts about The Incredibles?

So what did you think?

I'll write more this weekend, but I have to say that this is the only animated film I have ever seen where I forgot it was animated! I'd go as far as to say this was not an animated film, but an action film that just happened to be in the animated genre.

After seeing the Cars trailer on the big screen I think it is safe to say there are no humans in it - it seems to be a Car-World.

In the race scene the pitcrew is all cars, and in the stands the spectators are all cars.

...This is the first Pixar film that doesn't exist in a "believable" world... ...But with Cars, it seems to break the mould a little too much. ... ...But am I the only one who thinks, coming after that with Cars, that Pixar is starting to look old, samey and, dare I say, boring? After your first fe...

Didn't a past report say there are no humans in the film?
