Bambi II, from DisneyToon Studios, is being released on DVD in the United States but in theaters in Europe. However, ASIFA-Hollywood members will be treated to a screening on February 7 at the Harmony Gold Screening Room so it can be viewed in all its big-screen glory.

DVD Active has the official region one artwork for the Ice Age Super-Cool Edition DVD. With the movie’s sequel arriving in theaters on March 31st, the latest DVD release for the film will hit stores on March 14th.

The blog Luxo gathers from Cartoon Art that after the exhibition’s successful run at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Pixar: 20 Years of Animation may move to to San Francisco, beginning on February 25th.

Yahoo! Finance has the press release for Cartoon Network’s premiere of The KarateGuard, a seven-minute Tom & Jerry short developed for theaters. Having debuted in Los Angeles cinemas on September 27, 2005, The KarateGuard will air on Cartoon Network at 9pm (ET/PT) on Friday, January 27th.

At JAM! Movies, Cory and Todd Edwards recall their experiences bringing Hoodwinked to the big screen. The duo set out “not to make a kids’ movie, but a film that would entertain adults and teenagers without excluding children,” remarks Cory. Hoodwinked opens nationwide in theaters this Friday.

Variety indicates that Warner Bros. will move forward with the film version of Maurice Sendak’s classic book Where the Wild Things Are. Prior to this update, the project was set up at Universal. Despite the move, Spike Jonze will still direct the film adaptation, employing the screenplay he co-wrote with novelist Dave Eggers.
