Rango Super Bowl TV spot hits the internet

As with Kung Fu Panda 2 earlier this week, Paramount has decided to reveal their Super Bowl TV spot for Rango a few days before the big game. It can be viewed over at iTunes. Rango blends into theaters this March.

New Hop poster bounces online

An amusing new poster for Hop–this time with a Super Bowl theme–has just been posted online at the Internet Movie Poster Awards. Curiously enough, there are apparently no plans for Universal Pictures to advertise the film during Sunday’s big game. The live-action/animated comedy starring Russell Brand and James Marsden comes to theaters this Easter.

The official theme song from Rango–composed by Los Lobos–can now be heard online thanks to the LA Times. The song is meant to be a parody of the ballads found in older westerns. Starring Johnny Depp, Rango comes to theaters everywhere this March.

First Concept Art: Sherman and Mr. Peabody

Earlier we reported that a film based off The Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon Sherman and Mr. Peabody was in development with Robert Downey, Jr. as the voice of the intellectual canine. Cartoon Brew has the first concept art for Downey’s character. At first glance, Mr. Peabody resembles Droopy Dog the MGM/Warner Brothers character.
