2020 was a year like no other in the history of motion pictures, with theatres closed and big budget blockbusters relegated to the small screen. Like the Oscars, we've had to make some changes to our annual Readers Choice poll. But the question for you is basically the same: Which of the films listed below was the best animated film of 2020?

Due to the pandemic, deciding which movies to list was not as straightforward as usual. The big studio titles are here and a selection of other films culled from critics lists. Films released on VOD and streaming services are included. But unlike the Academy, we're limiting our list to films that actually came out in the United States during the 2020 calendar year. So popular choices you might eventually see up for Oscar consideration in a few months aren't here yet.
