Liberty heading to DVD

Toon Zone reveals that Ten-Strike Home Entertainment has acquired the exclusive U.S. distribution rights to PBS’s animated series Liberty’s Kids. The show will be available on DVD on June 29, and will feature interviews with Walter Cronkite (who provides the voice of Ben Franklin), behind-the-scenes footage, cast information and interactive games.

Box Office Guru reveals that Disney’s Home on the Range debuted in fourth place this weekend, with an estimated $14M. Playing in 3,047 theaters, the traditionally animated film averaged a good $4,595 per theater.

According to Box Office Mojo, Home on the Range opened at #3 on Friday, with $4,030,000. Look for Home on the Range to end the weekend in either the #2 or #3 spot, with around $15 million, as suggested by Box Office Report.
