Collider reports that Warner Home Video has announced Superman/Batman: Apocalypse on Special Edition Blu-ray, 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and single disc DVD on September 28, 2010. Based on the DC Comics series/graphic novel Superman/Batman: Supergirl, the direct to DVD feature Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is produced by Bruce Timm and directed by Lauren Montgomery.

John Lasseter to co-direct Cars 2

Disney has now officially confirmed John Lasseter as the co-director of Cars 2, reports /Film. Lasseter will co-direct the sequel with director Brad Lewis, who is making his directorial debut with the film. Cars 2 will be out in theaters on June 25th, 2011.

Cinema Blend reports that Disney’s upcoming The Muppets movie has officially been given a December 25, 2011 release date. Written by Jason Segel and directed by James Bobin, The Muppets movie will also star Segel alongside Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal and the rest of the characters.

Heat Vision reports that Gary Oldman has joined the voice cast for Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2008 hit Kung Fu Panda. Oldman will voice a character named Peacock in the film. Kaboom of Doom is slated to hit theaters on June 3, 2011.
