Monsters University worth the extra 3D cost?

Cinema Blend has a regular feature where they rate whether the 3D version of a film is worth paying the extra money for, titled “To 3D or Not to 3D”. This week they look at Monsters University, and the reviewer herself is surprised by the score.

Turbo soundtrack deluxe edition announced

Film Music Reporter says that in addition to the regular soundtrack being released for DreamWorks’ film Turbo, a deluxe edition will also be available. That version will feature 11 additional tracks from Henry Jackman’s score. Check out the link for the full listing.

Monsters University opens

Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University opens today in 4,004 theatres according to Box Office Mojo. The film is doing well with critics, earning a 76% Freshness rating from Rotten Tomatoes. A big haul is expected, with Box Office Prophets projecting a first place weekend with $74.3 million, and Mojo agreeing with a $73.9 million prediction.
