Looking to improve your chances in an Oscar pool? Several websites are looking at the five films up for the best Animated Short Oscar. Brightest Young Things is going with the favorite, Disney’s Paperman, a film they say is so perfect “there is so simply no way to improve” it. While Television Without Pity admits the buzz over Paperman has been fairly strong (and even they agree it “fits more into the Academy’s ethos for animated shorts”), they believe the more deserving film might be The Simpson’s short The Longest Daycare. Film School Rejects also agrees that Paperman is the prohibitive favorite, but they say Adam and Dog is equally impressive and deserves the prize.
