Don Knotts, most famous for his role as Deputy Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show, died Friday night of pulmonary and respiratory complications at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, according to the AP. He was 81 years old. Knotts was no stranger to animation voicing characters in several tv shows and films, including: the title character in The Incredible Mr. Limpet, T.W. Turtle in Cats Don’t Dance, Turkey Lurkey in Chicken Little, and starred in several episodes of Scooby-Doo where he played himself.
