Yesterday, Nov. 16, saw the launch by Don Hahn, Disney historian Charles Solomon and other artists of the Kickstarter campaign in support of Tyrus Wong: Brushstrokes in Hollywood , a documentary film about legendary concept designer Tyrus Wong who just turned 102, and was a key contributor to Bambi and many other Disney films. “This film is the first in-depth portrait of Wong’s life and art. His story is inspiring, uplifting, and quintessentially American,” says documentary director Pamela Tom.
