Lylle Breier, senior vice president of worldwide special events for Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, announced today the festivities that will surround the El Capitan Theatre’s special Halloween showing of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Also playing with Nightmare will be two Tim Burton shorts, Vincent and Frankenweenie. Meanwhile, exclusive limited edition collectible Nightmare Before Christmas buttons will be provided to moviegoers, with the button’s style differing for each of the event’s twelve days. A special 13th pin will be given only on Halloween to people in attendance all the previous days. Opening night festivities will include a special filmmakers’ panel featuring Ken Page (voice of Oogie Boogie), Shelley Duvall (star of Frankenweenie), Nightmare director Henry Selick, associate producer Kathleen Gavin, and author Frank Thompson (The Making of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas).
