Following a somewhat dissapointing opening last week, DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 2 continued to perform below expectations, Box Office Mojo is reporting. The animated sequel currently has a total of $100 million after 11 days of release, which on the surface seems quite strong, except when you compare it to how the original Kung Fu Panda did. By the end of its second weekend at the box office, it had a total gross of nearly $120 million. Meanwhile, Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides continued to be not as big as the other movies in its franchise, but the Mouse House hardly has anything to worry about when foreign tickets are brought into play. The Johnny Depp sequel has grossed more than $700 million worldwide.
