The Internet Movie Database reports Pixar chairman Steve Jobs believes that if The Incredibles becomes the blockbuster many are expecting it to be, the film’s success will give him additional leverage in negotiating a new distributor for Pixar. As Jobs tells the Los Angeles Times, concerning Pixar’s previous five film’s achievements, “Pixar is lucky enough to be five-for-five. … If Incredibles makes that six-for-six … it gives us wonderful options to work with all sorts of people.” Still, some Disney executives remain hopeful that Pixar and Disney could strike a new deal. Disney studio Chairman Dick Cook tells The Times, “I would love to think it’s never over until it’s over.”
