According to Dark Horizons, “In regards to Shrek, the trailer for the first sequel is now out in sweet Quicktime over at the official site. Meanwhile UK comedian Ben Elton confirmed on Radio 5 Live’s Simon Mayo Show that he turned down an offer from Jeffrey Katzenberg to write & direct a third Shrek film because ‘he did not want to devote himself to a project solely for 3 years. He said it was like turning down a request from the Godfather when he was face to face with Katzenberg.’ Elton’s writing for the screen work includes the legendary Rowan Atkinson comedy series Black Adder and he’s currently promoting his new theatre show in the UK, Tonight’s the Night.”
