Acclaimed special effects animator and artist Michel Gagné has finally written a follow-up to his intriguing comic book series about a brilliant alien inventor wrongfully condemned for the destruction of his home planet. Gagné writes, “It’s been a long time since the last issue of ZED – almost two years actually. For those who read the first four issues (or the trade), you’ll remember that the story ended with quite a cliffhanger.” In addition, Gagné concludes that, “After several brainstorm and thumbnail sessions, I finally have an entire storyline that I’m really happy with. The whole series will span a total of 8 issues. And believe me, there will be so many unexpected twists and turns, it will make your head spin!”

In related news, the third model in Gagné’s four-sculpture series, Insanely Twisted Rabbits, was revealed on June 5th. Dubbed “Spike Tail”, this wildly manic creature (pictured right), along with its two released brethren, was produced by the incredible people at SideShow Collectibles. While the second piece, “Scarab,” is just about to be shipped out, “Spike Tail” will be available for preorder on the SideShow site shortly.
