Traditional 2D animation may be on its way out in North America, but South America seems to be ready to carry the torch, witness this interesting short from Brazil.
Curupira is part of the I Swear I Saw It project, which consists of five 35mm animation movies. Each episode is ten minutes long and based on Brazilian folklore. Curupira had the participation of students ages 4-11 from the municipality’s educational system. A trailer can be found on the official web page.
