Their consensus: “Kubo and the Two Strings matches its incredible animation with an absorbing — and bravely melancholy — story that has something to offer audiences of all ages”. BOM projects Kubo will be in a tight race for second at the weekend box office with the other animated film playing, Sausage Party, with both earning around $17 million. However, Box Office Prophets predicts Kubo will beat both Sausage Party and Suicide Squad for a weekend win with $18.1 million.
