DreamWorks is developing its own tablet, says the LA Times. The animation studio partnered with Fuhu Inc. to create the DreamTab, a device designed to teach children how to be animators. The tablet uses the 4.4 Kit Kat Android operating system and will allow its users to stream video and play games. It will retail for the reasonable price of $300 this spring. Built in apps include “Be an Artist” that teaches kids how to draw DreamWorks characters and “School of Dragons,” a game described as an educational multi-player based on How To Train Your Dragon. DreamWorks is using the DreamTab as an opportunity to expand the company’s content offerings across multiple platforms.
