By sheer coincidence, we have two animated movies about talking planes made available to the public this week. The first, of course, is Disney’s Planes, currently in theaters. But most audiences will be far more eager to see Wings, a straight-to-DVD movie about talking planes that just happened to come out only days before Planes’ theatrical release, and also has the exact same plot. It’s fitting that Wings shares a title with the first movie to ever win the Oscar for Best Picture, as those who watch the film’s trailer will be treated to some of the greatest animation ever brought to the screen. A dub of a Mexican animated film from last year, the English version of Wings features Josh Duhamel, Rob Schneider, Gregg Berger, Hilary Duff, Tom Skerritt, and Jesse McCartney, all of whom clearly had nothing better to do should feel honored to be involved with such an esteemed picture.
Totally original and not at all a rip-off Wings now on store shelves
