Thunderbirds, the campy British TV series featuring puppets which inspired both a live-action movie in 2004 and Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s raunchy Team America: World Police, is making a comeback, Screen Rant is reporting. The reboot will come from WETA Workshop, the special effects powerhouse behind The Lord of the Rings, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and more, and will feature a combination of animation and live-action. Don’t get ready to chant “Thunderbirds are go!” just yet, though, as the series is not set to make its debut in the United Kingdom until 2015.
