Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment are teaming to give the popular video game duo Ratchet and Clank their own 3D computer animated movie, says Variety. The characters were introduced in 2002 with the Ratchet & Clank game, before growing into a successful franchise exclusive to PlayStation consoles. Jericca Cleland will direct the Ratchet & Clank film from a script by TJ Fixman, a senior writer for Insomniac Games. James A. Taylor, David Kaye and Jim Ward will return to voice the characters Ratchet, Clank and Qwark. Ratchet & Clank is scheduled for an early 2015 release.
