From Up On Poppy Hill is the newest Studio Ghibli film to premiere in the US. It is directed by Goro Miyazaki, Hayao Miyazaki’s son, and it is a coming-of-age film with romance, mystery, and drama set in 1964 Yokohama. It has been described as a pure and sincere story. The US dub features many big name voices: Beau Bridges, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ron Howard, and Gillian Anderson. The first US trailer came out earlier this week, Slash Film has a link. From Up On Poppy Hill will come to US theaters on March 15, 2013.
